Brooklyn Academy of Music, Peter J. Sharp Building

This building, constructed in 1907-1908, was designed in a neo-Italian Renaissance style by the architectural firm of Herts & Tallant. It has 6 floors, one main theater and 3 additional theaters as well as offices and support spaces. The building is a designated New York City Landmark and sits within the Brooklyn Academy of Music Historic District. SUPERSTRUCTURES performed an investigation to provide a comprehensive overview of observed defects in the exterior envelope of the building, and investigate specific reported problems. SUPERSTRUCTURES prepared a Building Conditions Report including cost estimates for recommended repairs and categorizing the work in three levels of priority.
