SUPERSTRUCTURES architect Gaither Pratt recently led the first in a planned series of City Walks presented by the New York City Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism. Beginning at Grand Army Plaza, his tour wound through past some of the architectural highlights of the Park Slope and Prospect Heights Historic Districts, ending near Fort Greene Park. The urbanist perspective relies on an educated appreciation of the richness of New York’s architectural heritage – the preservation of which is the core of SUPERSTRUCTURES’ mission.

The Montauk Club, built in 1889-91, was one of Park Slope’s architectural gems featured on the tour.
