Going Green Gets Silver

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day and congrats to our own Paul Millman, who took second place in the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s limerick contest!

Here are the three witty winners:

1st Place

Submitted by Lisa Kaiser and Mark Robson

There’s naught in Manhattan so fine

As the Art Deco Chrysler design

It’s got rhythmic pizzazz

Just as flawless as jazz

Thanks to Van Alen’s vision divine.

2nd Place

Submitted by Paul Millman, PE, RA

Consider the following twist

It’s readily seen

That the buildings most “green”

Are the ones that already exist.

3rd Place

Submitted by Richard Pieper

As the bridge to the future is crossed

Some change will not come without cost

But if changes are cast

Without thought for the past

The soul of the City is lost.
