SUPERSTRUCTURES completed the Cycle 9 Facade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) inspection of this Midtown Manhattan office building, and subsequently provided design and construction administration services for the resulting facade restoration. The restoration addressed masonry and terra cotta deterioration identified during the FISP inspection, and included removal and replacement of cracked masonry units and terra cotta elements, masonry repointing, and full replacement of joint sealant across the facade. The scope also encompassed removal and replacement of a deteriorated steel lintel and precast coping, along with replacement of window frame parts to restore weathertightness at existing openings.
