Morris High School

Morris High School is located in the Morrisania neighborhood in the borough of the Bronx, on East 166th Street between Jackson Avenue and Boston Road. It is a Collegiate Gothic building which was landmarked by the City of New York in 1982 as the center of the Morris High School Historic District. Work involved curb and grating replacement, retaining wall repair, repointing of coping stones, removal and replacement of roof access doors and damaged window guards, and reinforcement of structural steel elements behind damaged masonry. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services. Client: New York City School Construction Authority. Cost: $9 Million.
