A traditional Federal Style building, the Mariner's Memorial Chapel is a steel-framed structure with concrete slabs enclosed by masonry exterior walls and a pitched roof finished with slate tiles. Repairs will include a new slate roof, brick masonry and stone work, and new gold gilding for the bell tower. The project will also include restoration of the architectural woodwork and windows, and renovation of the plaza.
