Luna Park
Brooklyn, NY

Built in 1961, Luna Park is an affordable housing development in Coney Island. The complex consists of five building clusters; each cluster is a complex of four brick-clad towers connected by a common circulation/service core. SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained as Owner's Representative and Construction Manager to oversee the re-cladding and re-roofing of all 20 towers. The project involved complete demolition of the face brick, restoration of the CMU back-up wall, installation of new cavity insulation to comply with NYC Energy Code and complete rebuilding of new face brick. All roofs were replaced with new 20 year-NDL roofing. New aluminum perimeter railings were installed.
