Gouverneur Health is a 215-bed nursing facility serving the Lower East Side from its current location on 227 Madison Street since 1972. A modernization project to expand the facility was completed in 2014. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided FISP Cycle 7B inspections for the original 14-story building, in which unsafe conditions were identified. The restoration program includes removal and replacement of brick masonry units, repair of spalled and cracked concrete, and lintel restoration. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation and design services, and is currently providing construction administration services.
