Essex House is a 45-story hotel and condominium building completed in 1931. The restoration program at this art deco/art moderne structure encompassed exterior masonry wall construction, including corner reconstruction spanning 30 floors, and extensive lintel replacement. Also included were stone and terra cotta ornamentation, parapets and copings, and steel spandrels at the upper levels. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services.
