This parking structure serving Elmhurst Hospital consists of six levels totaling approximately 201,600 square feet. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation services to address observed structural deficiencies, including corrosion of steel members (i.e. girders, columns, stair structures), delamination at the top flanges of steel girders, and failure at expansion joints. Also addressed were corrosion of stair support clip angles, spalled concrete, failure of guardrails and handrails, and missing steel shims meant to connect steel column to precast concrete spandrel beams.
