BAM Harvey Theater
Brooklyn, NY

Opened as the Majestic Theater in 1904, the venue was renovated by BAM in 1987. The building’s facades are solid brick masonry with decorative limestone cladding at the Fulton Street facing facade. A 2015 renovation expanded the entrance lobby and provided new egress stairs for the balcony. SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained as the exterior restoration consultant to perform an analysis of the existing building envelope at the areas affected by the proposed expansion, including an investigation into an appropriate coating for the exterior walls, replacement of wood windows, and research and mock-ups for the removal of existing coatings at the front and side walls.
