75 Rockefeller Plaza Green Roof
New York, NY

Originally Standard Oil’s Esso building and a New York City Landmark, 75 Rockefeller Plaza (Wallace Harrison, 1947) is a 33-story Modernist tower. In cooperation with Kohn Pederson Fox, lead architect, SUPERSTRUCTURES provided building envelope restoration services in connection with a complete renovation of the building. The restoration project scope included replacement of the main and setback roofs. The existing overburden and roofing system was removed and replaced. The 2nd and 10th floor setback terraces incorporate green roofs with LiveRoof planting trays and engineered soil.
