The exterior wall of this steel-framed commercial office building consisted of pre-cast concrete panels and obsolete single-glazed windows. The restoration program entailed over-cladding the existing concrete façade with a new high performance, but lightweight, curtain wall system of metal panels and ribbon windows. As the curtain wall consultant to the design architect, SUPERSTRUCTURES provided comprehensive design, shop drawing and calculation reviews, air and water performance testing, field observation, and factory quality assurance inspections covering the curtain wall panel fabrication.
