This co-op building in Chelsea was designed by Farrar & Watmough and built in 1930. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services to restore the building’s facades and terraces.

The restoration scope included: localized replacement of terra cotta units with synthetic terra cotta; repair of spalled terra cotta; localized pointing of open masonry joints; localized sealant replacement at windows; limestone patching at water table; replacement of cracked masonry units; and coating existing terra cotta and limestone water table. Work also included installation of fluid-applied roof recovery over exiting fluid-applied waterproofing membrane at three roof terraces.
