This International-style office building was designed by Kahn & Jacobs and completed in 1957 for the Union Dime Bank. The 35-story, steel-framed structure features masonry and aluminum cladding. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services to restore the building’s envelope.
Restoration work included: removal and replacement of cracked and spalled masonry units; masonry re-pointing; sealant joint replacement; and removal, replacement, scraping, and painting of existing steel lintels and spandrel beams.
