Three Residential Buildings, Columbia University
New York, NY

These three pre-War residential buildings are steel framed and clad in brick masonry, limestone, and terra cotta. SUPERSTRUCTURES conducted a restoration campaign to remediate various facade deficiencies identified in the buildings. Restoration work included: removal and replacement of cracked and spalled brick, stone, and terra cotta units; masonry repointing; sealant replacement; and concrete crack repair. Work also included metal cornice repainting, window lintel and frame repair, and metal railing repair. The entrance landing of 423 West 118th Street was also replaced.
