Structural Engineer – Perform structural calculations; assess condition of existing historic and or modern buildings and prepare condition reports; evaluate deficiencies; and develop renovation and repair recommendations. Recommend and administer applicable testing procedures to determine causes of failure of building components of historic and modern buildings. Conduct site surveys and field measurements from swing scaffolding and/or aerial lift platforms. Prepare scope reports, cost estimates and research applicable building codes. Prepare preliminary schematic base drawings for use during the design process. Prepare construction drawings and details for building facades for masonry and aluminum and glass curtain wall systems, roofing systems, and window replacement projects. Assist project manager in developing public and private bidding strategies, and review and analyze bids received. Periodic visits to project sites in the New York City region required.
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, plus one (1) year of experience required.
40 hours per week
Salary: $88,150.00 per year.
