Grand Central Terminal

New York, NY

Grand Central Terminal, designed by architect Whitney Warren in 1913, is a New York City and National Historic Landmark. SUPERSTRUCTURES was subcontracted by KAFKA Construction, Inc., who had been contracted by the MTA, to provide shop drawings and to develop details at a level of specificity suitable for construction. The project involved an exterior restoration, encompassing masonry walls, masonry interior courtyards and area ways, limestone on the west facade overlooking Vanderbilt Avenue, roofs above the main concourse, and original windows on the west facade.
