860 / 870 United Nations Plaza

New York, NY

These two 38-story residential towers were constructed in 1966. Both buildings have glass and aluminum curtain wall facades with projecting windows and aluminum panels, which have exhibited deteriorated joint sealants. The program encompassed facades, roofs, and bulkheads. New concrete pavers on the sundeck, as well as waterproofing of the inner face of the curtain wall extension above the roof, were also included. SUPERSTRUCTURES provided investigation, design, and construction administration services.
