The Borough of Manhattan Community College campus spans four city blocks - equivalent in length to the Empire State Building lying on its side. The massive building was completed in 1983. The building’s exterior façade exhibited a range of conditions including concrete, masonry, and metal deterioration, as well as failing sealant and gaskets. SUPERSTRUCTURES completed an exterior conditions report, prepared construction documents, and is now providing construction administration services. The firm has undertaken a subsequent assignment to provide investigation and design for a new ”solar-ready“ roof.
