75 Rockefeller Plaza
New York

75 Rockefeller Plaza, a 33-story tower, has been designated a New York City landmark. Completed in 1947 in early Modernist style, it was originally the Esso building, built for Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company. In cooperation with Kohn Pederson Fox, lead architect, SUPERSTRUCTURES is providing building envelope restoration services in connection with a complete renovation of the building. The firm's scope includes replacement of the building's existing windows, replacement of the main roof and setback roofs, and comprehensive restoration of the building's exterior facades, composed of stone veneer and metal spandrels. The firm is also consulting on details where new work on the exterior meets existing materials.
