Built in 1908, the PATH Station on Christopher Street is a 5-story building located within the Greenwich Village Historic District. The facade of the building is brick with limestone ornamentation. SUPERSTRUCTURES was retained to conduct a Stage 1 investigation to determine the extent of structural damage and deterioration and the scope of repairs required above the 4th floor. The restoration program is anticipated to include the replacement/repair of the parapets, masonry and structural steel at 4th floor, coping stones and flashings. Restoration of the building’s missing cornice is also being considered.
